website finished and ready to go live! (and updated wire frames)

Eventually got my website finished and ready to go live. I had to make a few alterations to the final design with regards to navigation. Originally i had planned to have a simple navigation bar with all of my projects running down the left hand side of the screen. This would have worked but with the amount of work that i wanted to upload it would have meant that the user would to use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen. I didn't find that aesthetically pleasing and as the course progress' i would have to keep adding to the list and this would make the scroll bar larger.

so i have categorized my work and dropped it into sub sections such as typography, photography etc.

the second thing that was changed from the original design spec was the navigation for moving through individual projects. for example if the user selects 'photography' then chooses 'studio work', the idea was for two arrows to appear so that they could navigate through the collection of photos. however this was going to require coding and i couldn't seem to get it to blend in well with the rest of the design. therefore along the top of the screen a set of numbers appear taking the user through the images.

hopefully below these updated wire frames will explain. i have managed to keep my site very minimal and allow the focus of attention to be on my work. I find that a lot of negative white space around the images works well.

if a were to go back and change anything it would be that when a user goes into subsections i believe spaces between certain names of projects would make it less confusing.

the next step will be to buy and domain name and get my website up live.
